Best bank websites put customers first

Every good business endeavors to make their customers’ lives easier.
The Bank of New Glarus® and Sugar River Bank Branches not only wanted to leverage bank website design that would make using their site more convenient for customers, but also create an online space where the community at large could keep up to date on events in Green County, Wisconsin.
This customer-first approach can be found everywhere at thebankofnewglarus.bank, from the responsive web design — which optimally displays the site on desktop monitors, laptops, tablets and smartphone alike — to an improved approach to the organization of information. Adhering to search engine optimization (SEO) best practices also helps guide prospective customers and other new visitors to the site.
The user-friendly approach extends behind the scenes as well. Utilizing BrownBoots’ proprietary content management system (CMS), we integrated many different custom elements to give the site its own personality, such as the homepage carousel, Meet the Staff page, Locations page, and various rates tables throughout the site.
By entering rates in a single file in the CMS, the values are perpetuated throughout the site, making daily updates much easier for the website administrators. Likewise, the homepage automatically pulls in information from the Community Calendar and the blog, and the inclusion of easy-to-create web forms give admins the ability to populate the site with lead-generation forms in minutes.
In conjunction with giving their website a complete overhaul, The Bank of New Glarus® also took the opportunity to update their domain, incorporating the relatively new “.bank” top-level domain. The new online branding was also extended to an email template design, which we tied directly into the newsletter signup on the website.
